Dark Impostor, meanwhile, can exile another creature and get a +1/+1 counter, then use all of the exiled creature's activated abilities. When it attacks, it can return a creature card with CMC 3 or less from the graveyard to the battlefield, like Sun Titan. Bishop of Rebirth is a 3/4 with vigilance. Blood Baron of Vizkopa is a 4/4 with lifelink for 3WB, and it has protection from black and white (allowing it to dodge removal and push damage against some decks). Many other vampire are in this deck simply because of their creature type and good stats, not to mention their diverse abilities. Captivating Vampire is not only a lord, but it can also tap five friendly vampires to gain control of another creature, the vampire seduction effect. Lord effects show up too, such as Stromkirk Captain (which gives friendly vampires +1/+1 and first strike), and Legion Lieutenant is another fine lord, costing just WB. RELATED: Magic: The Gathering - How to Build a Commander Deck for Narset, Enlightened Master ![]() Rakish Heir is also a fine +1/+1 counter generator. Indulgent Aristocrat, meanwhile, can sacrifice creatures to put +1/+1 counters on all friendly creatures, and Drana, Liberator of Malakir can put those counters on all friendly creatures anytime it deals damage to a player. Cordial Vamipire is cheap, costing BB, and anytime it or another creature dies, its controller puts a +1/+1 counter on each Vampire they control. Using +1/+1 counters is a good start, and Olivia Voldaren can pay 1R to deal damage to creatures and get such counters on it (and gain control of those newly-sired vampires later). Red, black and white are all fair game, and it's time to use every trick in the vampire playbook. Edgar Markov sets the tone for this deck: it costs 3RWB for a 4/4 with haste and first strike, and it can create 1/1 black Vampire creature tokens anytime the Edgar Markov player casts a vampire spell (even if Edgar is in the command zone). You can't discard a card with madness just because you want to, though. This is a tribal aggro deck, so naturally, a lot of powerful creatures are included in the deck of 99 cards. ![]() You could discard it to pay a cost, because a spell or ability tells you to, or even because you have too many cards in your hand at the end of your turn.
